Kurt Campbell, assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, will explore the Obama administration’s decision to focus U.S. foreign policy more on the Asia-Pacific region during a talk at Duke University.
The talk, “The Asia Pivot: America’s Destiny and the Future of American Power in the Asia-Pacific,” is free and open to the public, and begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Sanford School of Public Policy. Public parking will be available in the Bryan Center Parking Garage for $5.
The Duke Program in American Grand Strategy will host the talk, which is part of the Von der Heyden Fellows Program Endowment Fund lecture series.
The event is co-sponsored by the Triangle Institute for Security Studies, the Sanford School of Public Policy, the Duke Office of Global Strategy and Programs and the Duke Program for Asian Security Studies.
