Corey & doctorCorey's Second Wind
Internship Director Elise Goldwasser's daughter Corey had a successful double lung transplant in June in St. Louis. Corey is now out of the hospital and the family will return to Durham in September. This photo shows Corey with her transplant surgeon.

Three recent Sanford graduates have received Fulbright Scholarships for the upcoming academic year. Elizabeth Jazwiecki will be an English teaching assistant in Taiwan, Stephanie Rotolo will work in global health in Togo and MIDP graduate Michael Spolum is working in Myanmar.

This July, Steve Solon MIDP ’05 began his first term as governor of the southern province of Sarangani in the Philippines.

As managing director of CK Power Plc, Supamas Trivisvavet MPP’99, has overseen hydroelectric power projects in Laos and is working to have CKP listed on the Thailand stock exchange.

Annual Fund Exceeds Goal
Many thanks to the 1,376 generous donors who gave a total of  $670,566 to the Sanford School’s Annual Fund in fiscal year 2012-2013. We thought that the original goal of $550,000 was ambitious, but with the support of people like you, we not only met it, we exceeded it by nearly 22 percent!
